Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD)

Also known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMD, is a condition that affects the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which connects the jawbone to the skull. TMJD can cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the surrounding muscles that control jaw movement.

Symptoms:

Jaw pain or tenderness

Jaw clicking or popping.

Limited jaw movement

Locking of the jaw

Headaches or earaches
